Who is Vazhikatti?
Well, Vazhikatti literally means ' a Guide'. It was envisioned to guide the mentally ill to wellness.
What started as a small single room consultation chamber in October, 1993, over ten years period, grew into a 36 bedded Vazhikatti Mental Health Centre and Research Institute, which is in its FOURTH YEAR as an organization.
Vazhikatti, with its exclusive 12 bedded Emergency Psychiatric Service, is the most comprehensive psychiatric care facility available at Coimbatore and the first of its kind in the western parts of Tamil Nadu.
With its complete team of psychiatric professionals, Vazhikatti brings the state-of-the-art psychiatric care to all strata of the community with its innovations in psychiatric care delivery.
Evidence based and ethical practice is the guiding philosophy of Vazhikatti. Apart from providing quality psychiatric care, Vazhikatti is committed to develop mental health care resources by teaching and training of medical and allied professionals
